Chalaine A. Barry-Wade is a portraits photographer and the Founder of Gemini Photography VI on St. Thomas, Virgin Islands. She specializes in maternity and creative portraits. She is married with no children. She is a graduate of Charlotte Amalie High school, the University of the Virgin Islands with a Bachelor of Science in Marine Biology, and the Arts Institute of Pittsburgh Online Division with an Associates of Arts in Photography. Aside from her photography she is a paraprofessional at Jane E. Tuitt School and she teaches photography for the 21st Century Higher Heights After School Program at Charlotte Amalie High School. Her studio is located in Bovoni, in the Lima Building.
In addition to her photography, she offers body painting and body jeweling. Her work has been featured in Caribbean Heat Auto Magazine, on the Charlotte Amalie High School website, in CAHS Amalian Yearbooks, in numerous family and class reunion books, and funeral booklets. She has traveled to other Caribbean islands to photograph fashion shows, weddings and other creative projects. Through her photography Chalaine builds lasting friendships with parents, future parents, families and children she photographs. She is known for her creativity, professionalism, and her ability to use various locations to personalize each shoot to suit her clients. Her business motto is “Preserving Moments Worth Saving.” Her future goal is to assist young boys and girls in the creation of professional modeling portfolios.
